X-ray Operational Lead Radiographer

Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, ambitious, motivated and experienced Radiographer to co-lead the Core Services team. This position is one of two X-ray Operational Lead Radiographers who will be expected to jointly manage the Core Services team.

This role is offered as a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Working Hours:The post holder is required to participate in an extended working day covering 08:00 to 20:00, 7-days per week, in line with the Agenda for Change shift system.

The Core Services Department has three digital Siemens x-ray rooms, one Siemens fluoroscopy room, 8 digital mobile x-ray systems (Five Carestream and three Phillips), and an Xograph dental x-ray room.

Location:St. Bartholomew's Hospital, in the heart of the City of London (St. Paul's).

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to join Europe's largest specialised cardiovascular centre. The appropriate candidate will have good general radiographic experience, be resilient, flexible and able to demonstrate leadership and clinical supervision skills. The post holder will work closely with the clinical, radiographic and managerial teams.

  • Governance compliance and risk management in all areas of practice
  • Able to work unsupervised

  • Knowledge in a range of plain film radiography and technique optimisation
