Job summary

The Five NHS Provider Trusts of North East London came together in July 2021 to form an exciting new Procurement Collaborative to drive greater value and better outcomes for patients and residents. North East London Procurement Partnership (NELPP) is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to support the Head of Programmes in the delivery of its programme plan and act as support in-client contact for internal and external parties. Ultimately the aim of the Procurement Project Manager is to support in the delivery of maximum benefit for the Trusts, and enable its ambition to deliver a truly collaborative service that benefits patients, staff and citizens of North East London.

At a practical level, the Procurement Project Manager will focus on:o Monitoring ongoing performance of the NEL collaboration programme as set out in the Full Business Case.o Monitor performance of the external consultancy engaged to lead on some of the activity. Run supplier contract reviews and take remedial action where necessary. Be the 'client-side' relationship managero Work with the 5 Trust organisations, to support delivery, including the management of interdependencies and internal conflicts as appropriate.o Support the workstream team leaders to ensure delivery of the full plans and benefits set out as part of the business case.

Main duties of the job

1. Have responsibility for the NEL Procurement Partnership overarching programme plan across assigned workstreams, people and process development initiatives. For these areas, be responsible for:i) Establish and maintain arrangements to monitor and report on performance of the assigned workstreams and overall delivery of the programmeii) Monitor and report on workstreams and ongoing programmeiii) Support and enable delivery of the milestones and actions as set out in the Full Business Caseiv) Work with the five Trust organisations, to identify new and further initiatives toimprove programme performance and deliveryv) Facilitate resolution of strategic issues and work stream interdependencies2. Act as the key internal client in monitoring the performance of external third parties. Hold the supplier to account and seek resolution of issues3. Support development of the communications strategy and roll out of the communications plan, ensuring sign off by Heads of Procurement4. Support the Core Programme Team with organisation, agenda setting and accurate recording of minutes for the NEL Partnership Board.5. Management and collation of nominations of NEL Award submissions across multiple platforms to ensure accuracy and timely submission, maintaining and growing the reputation of NEL Trusts.
