Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and Senior Midwifery Manager for Midwifery Led Care (Band 8A) Royal London Hospital, who is passionate, committed to providing high quality of care and positive women's experiences. The post holder will be responsible for the Midwifery led community services, and the Alongside Midwifery Unit (Lotus Birth Centre). As a member of the midwifery management team, the post holder is expected to undertake the midwifery management on-call rota duties.
This post forms part of a structured rotational programme within the Matron leadership team. The post holder will be required to participate in rotations as dictated by service needs, supporting professional growth and enabling the development of skills across other departments.

We provide Maternity Services to approximately 5400 women a year and accommodate our women in very modern up to date facilitates. We have a level 3 Neonatal unit situated within the hospital as well as excellent facilities in Fetal Medicine. We are baby friendly hospital with fully accreditation by UNICEF Baby friendly initiatives since 2012.
Main duties of the job
The post holder has continuing responsibility for the management and development of designated areas for midwife led care and community services.
The post holder, in conjunction with the Midwifery Management team, will ensure the provision of a 24 hour midwifery service including on-call services. As a member of the midwifery management team, the post holder contributes to multi - disciplinary and collaborative working.
