Job summary
To work within the Medical Professional Standards team to support job planning and appraisal/ revalidation administration within the Medical and Dental workforce across the Group, you will report to the Medical Professional Standards Manager. The Barts Health Group is a breath-taking organisation in terms of scale and services with a medical and dental workforce to match which comprises of circa 5000 Doctors and Dentists across the group. In the main working with the Consultant, SAS and Locally Employed Doctors cohort who account for approximately 2500 Doctors within the total number.
The post holder requires excellent organisational skills and demands the ability to work independently and as part of a team, at times with pace and with the utmost discretion and initiative. To be aware of the terms and conditions for Consultants, SAS Doctors and Resident Doctors and how this will impact on our Medical and Dental workforce.
Main duties of the job
To work within the Medical Professional Standards team to support the job planning and appraisal/ revalidation administration within the Medical and Dental workforce, you will report to the Medical Professional Standards Manager. The Barts Health Group is a breath-taking organisation in terms of scale and services with a medical and dental workforce to match which comprises of circa 5000 Doctors and Dentists across the group. In the main working with the Consultant, SAS and Locally Emplyed Doctors cohort who account for approximately 2200 Doctors within the total number.
The post holder requires excellent organisational skills and demands the ability to work independently, frequently discretion, initiative and judgement. They will support medical staff by dealing with enquiries from medics in relation to all aspects of appraisal/ revalidation and job planning.
The post holder must project a professional and dignified manner at all times. Excellent communication skills, collaboration and cooperation are required for this role.
