Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate General Manager for Urology and General Surgery on a fixed term basis. This is a key leadership role within the Surgery and Cancer Division management structure, with responsibility for the operational delivery and performance management of Urology and General Surgery services at Whipps Cross Hospital.
The post holder will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, and compassionate care, and in driving operational excellence and service improvement across both specialties. You will work closely with Clinical Leads, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and senior colleagues across the Trust to deliver national and local performance standards, improve patient pathways, and support service transformation.
Main duties of the job
o To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate Barts Health 'we care' values of welcoming, engaging, collaborative, accountable, respectful and equitable.
o The post holder is expected to be a key operational leader in the implementation of the surgical strategy, including the development and enablement of high volume low complexity surgical hubs
