Job share, 22.5hrs per week (Monday, Thursday and Friday)

Band 5 post with inner London weighting

Location: Based at Royal London Hospital but will be required to travel to all sites within Barts Health NHS Trust

Our group of hospitals provide a huge range of clinical services to people in east London and beyond. We operate from four major hospital sites (The Royal London, St Bartholomew's, Whipps Cross and Newham) and several community locations, including Mile End hospital. Around 2.5 million people living in east London look to our services to provide them with the healthcare they need.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Quality Assurance Officer who wishes to develop their technical and regulatory knowledge within a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

This is a job share post that covers three sites:

St Bartholomew's Hospital

The Royal London Hospital

  • Whipps Cross University Hospital

Across these sites, services include cytotoxic preparation, parenteral nutrition, sterile manufactured products, CIVAS, specials manufacturing, and over-labelling and repackaging.

Main duties of the job

This post is a job share of 22.5hrs per week, Mon, Thurs and Fri, 9:00am- 5:30pm. It is based within Pharmacy Technical Services. In conjunction with other members of the team, the post holder will ensure that the department is continually meeting key performance targets so that patients receive a safe and efficient service.

  • Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, or a relevant Science degree.
  • Registered with a relevant professional body.

Desirable
