Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic, expert musculoskeletal clinician with leadership capability to work in our award winning MSK service at Whipps Cross and it's community sites.

With proven skills in the management of musculoskeletal disorders at a senior level, the post holder must have excellent clinical communication and interpersonal skills and be able to teach and develop staff and students of all grades working within the service. The post holder will be encouraged and supported to develop their clinical, teaching, research and managerial skills. You will support the coordination, delivery, and governance of the MSK Physiotherapy services at Whipps Cross and satellite sites. You will join a team which includes MSK Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner Clinical Leads, Persistent pain service including psychology and a large MSK team working across 3 sites, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and friendly environment. We are also currently recruiting a consultant physiotherapist to support our staff and oversee service development and research.

Main duties of the job

o To provide clinical leadership for the Musculoskeletal and persistent pain team across Whipps Cross therapies and satellite sites,o To act as an expert physiotherapy practitioner and leader within the wider therapies team, within Whipps cross hospital in the field of musculoskeletal through and out of the hospital,o To undertake a cross-site AP clinical and leadership role within Barts Health NHSTrust musculoskeletal services,o To support the Deputy Head of Outpatient Therapies in the development of relevantcross-site service and clinical initiatives and modernisations,o To act as the lead clinical representative on agreed clinical and service development,groups and boards,o To provide highly specialist care of complex patients including extended scopeinterventions and management as appropriate,o To provide expert training, advice and clinical education to service providers, serviceusers and service commissioners,o To have a clinical leadership role within therapies and professional leadership role for physiotherapy.o To act as clinical lead for the Whipps Cross, Wanstead and Chingford therapy teams
