Make a real difference.Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic, dedicated Consultant Obstetrician with a special interest in maternal medicine to join the expanding Women's Health team at Newham University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking, patient-centred service within one of the UK's most diverse communities.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to provide high-quality care in both general obstetrics and gynaecology.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the obstetric and gynaecological care for women with an interest in emergency gynaecology and early pregnancy and other related conditions, ensuring the delivery of patient-centred care.
Provide clinical expertise in the management of complex cases involving early pregnancy, including ultrasound scanning.
Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other multidisciplinary team members.
Collaborate with the gynaecological team across sites in Barts Health to provide comprehensive care to patients with early pregnancy issues.
Ensure high standards of clinical governance, quality control, and safety in all aspects of the service.
Participate in regular audits, departmental meetings, and clinical governance
