Post from 5 August 2026 to 3 August 2027This 12 month post is a senior fellowship for anaesthetists with at least three years anaesthetic training. The fellowship is split 40% Simulation and education, 60% anaesthesiaThe post includes a fully funded PG Cert in Medical Education at QMUL over the 12 monthpost.
The education and simulation component is based in the Simulation Centre at the Royal London site. The centre p rovides innovative courses and training for all hospital staff groups.The team also support in situ simulation within the hospital. The fellow would join the faculty and be involved in the delivery and development of this activity.

Main duties of the job
To develop their skills in a wide range of educational methods including PBL, simulation and clinical skills
o Teaching on simulation and clinical skills programme, especially with multidisciplinary in situ training
o To develop, implement and deliver innovative simulation training & courses
o Be able to develop own teaching materials and gain experience in obtaining funding for training and equipment
o Be provided with an opportunity to gain an educational qualification to the level of certificate or above
o To liaise with The Medical School, Foundation School, Core Training programmes and relevant Specialty Schools, and other key stakeholders) to optimise co-operation and the use of existing resources
o To participate in educational research (e.g. simulation training & transferable skills), management and educational governance
o Participation in Education Committee meetings
