The successful candidates will join an established and professional multi- disciplinary Ophthalmic team.We would expect the successful post holders to take an active part in managing and developing the service, to ensure of the delivery of quality care, and to support an active training programme

Whipps Cross Hospital is in the process of substantial redevelopment, which makes this an exciting time to join and help to influence the delivery of future Ophthalmic care.This substantive consultant post will support the service needs of the Ophthalmology service. This will ensure the provision of a high-quality service, with the development and maintenance of standards through clinical audit, evidence-based research and appraisal.The post is for Whipps Cross University and Newham University Hospitals. There is a 1 in 10 second on-call commitment. The glaucoma team comprises; two glaucoma consultants, one glaucoma fellow and one optometrist.
