- MBBS or equivalent
- FRCEM, FRCA, FRCS, FFICM or equivalent
- GMC Specialist registration
- Demonstrable knowledge of contemporary acute trauma care and prehospital care.
- Demonstration of the ability to work in the LAA Prehospital system at consultant level including previous experience of supervision and training doctors in the pre-hospital environment
Experience
Essential
- Have at least 2 years experience of working in prehospital care
- A six-month secondment with London's Air Ambulance system as a doctor,
- A substantive consultant appointment in base specialty and the ability to accommodate the demands of two roles to support the needs of the LAA service
- Recent currency with London's Air Ambulance System (within the last 3 years)
Desirable
- Training in endovascular resuscitation techniques
- Completed a recognised training programme in pre-hospital emergency medicine
- A six month secondment with another UK HEMS/ pre-hospital service
- Six months' experience in an international HEMS/ pre-hospital/ retrieval service
