We are looking to appoint a post-CCT Clinical Fellow in Adult Limb Reconstruction Orthopaedic Surgery. Based between The Royal London Hospital and Barts Health Orthopaedic Centre (BHOC), this fellowship provides an excellent higher training opportunity in all aspects of adult Limb Reconstruction, bone infection, major orthopaedic trauma and orthoplastics in a tertiary referral centre for trauma and elective surgery. This will include experience with management of internal and external fixation, circular frames, lengthening nails and management of bone infection and bone loss.
This post is suitable for a candidate who has passed the FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent, and is looking for subspecialty experience in complex elective limb reconstruction, bone infection and trauma. Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice prior to the start of employment.

Main duties of the job
Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.
Leadership, development and organisation on the services in his/her charge in line with the Trusts business plans. Liaison and communication with the lead clinician, Service Manager, General Manager, Clinical Director for Orthopaedic & Plastic Surgery and the Surgery / Cancer CAG (Clinical Academic Group) Director.
A major contribution to the department's ongoing efforts to improve efficiency in both the delivery and the management of patient care including the 18-week referral to treatment standard, reducing length of stay and managing the ratio of new to follow up outpatient attendances in line with commissioner expectations.
