An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiasticfixed term (12 months)Fertility nurse to join the team in our large and successful assisted conception unit located at St Bartholomew's Hospital in the City of London.

The successful candidate will be expected to be proficient in all aspects of Fertility Nursing. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Nurse to join our dynamic Fertility team, whilst covering the role of the Fertility Nurse supporting patients throughout their investigations, treatment and follow-up this role also has a focus on supporting and managing our theatres and procedures service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while driving forward excellence in clinical governance, safety, and compliance. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day activities, supporting staff development, and embedding best practice across theatres and procedure rooms. Main duties of the job

Applicants require a minimum of two years post-registration experience at the time of application and the confidence to take on the responsibilities of a specialist role. You will also need to demonstrate a mature outlook, have excellent communication skills, be motivated to provide the highest standards of nursing care and show a genuine interest in working in this area. Following basic training there may also be the opportunity to undertake ultrasound scan training.

As this is a fixed term contract preference will be given to those with proven Fertility experience.

Some flexibility in working hours is required to ensure service cover. In return, we can offer you full on-the-job training in a supportive multi-disciplinary team and an interesting and rewarding job role, as well as access to formal study and supported attendance at relevant conferences and study days.

The unit is currently open Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm and all nurses participate in a rota to cover weekends and bank holidays.
