This fellowship offers excellent training opportunities in neuro-oncological surgery across two busy neurosurgical units in North-East London and Essex.
Barts Health was recognised as a Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence for Neuro-oncology in 2022. Neuro-oncology services are based at The Royal London Hospital (Neurosurgery) and Bart's Hospital (MDT meetings and MDT Neuro-oncology Clinic). We are also a specialist referral centre for stereotactic radiosurgery. The neurosurgical unit at Barking, Havering & Redbridge Trust also provides a comprehensive neurosurgical service for adult patients in North-East London and Essex. The Neuro-oncology Fellow is a key member of the neurosurgical oncology teams on both sites and will be supported by eight dedicated Consultant Neurosurgeons with subspecialist interests in neuro-oncology and a team of clinical nurse specialists on both sites.
The Neuro-oncology fellow will work closely with the neurosurgical neuro-oncology consultants, the CNS Team, Neuro-oncologists, Neuroradiology, Neurotherapists, Neurologists and Neuro-rehabilitation services.
