Job summary
The Royal London Hospital is one of the UK's busiest and oldest teaching hospitals, operating in purpose built facilities close to the historic site in Whitechapel, East London. As well as Europe's largest Neuro-Trauma service, the Department of Neurosurgery provides a full range of sub-specialties, including Neuro-Oncology, Complex Spine, Neurovascular, Functional, Neuro-Modulation for Pain, Complex Hydrocephalus and Craniofacial Reconstruction. The Neurosurgeons are supported by a comprehensive Clinical Neurophysiology department (including intraoperative monitoring), dedicated Consultant Neuro-Radiologists, Neuro-intensive care (including a Neuro-Monitored unit within the department), Neurologists and a Hyper-Acute Thrombectomy Service.
Main duties of the job
We are currently recruiting for (3) posts at Junior Clinical Fellow Level (ST1-2 Equivalent) in Neurosurgery. There is a dedicated in-house Consultant-led Neurosurgical teaching programme*, and successful applicants will be supported in their broader professional and career development, particularly with reference to attaining the MRCS examination.
The successful candidate must be GMC registered with a license to practice and prior experience in Neurosurgery or a related discipline (Neurology/Acute Medicine/Critical Care) is welcomed.
