Job summary
Barts Health is currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at St. Bartholomew's Hospital Hospital as a Medical Secretary within General Imaging.
As a Medical Secretary in imaging, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to medical professionals, ensuring the efficient operation of our healthcare services. You will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards within the dynamic environment of St. Bartholomew's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage correspondence, appointments, and records for medical professionals
Schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring accurate communication
Prepare and maintain medical documentation, reports, and patient records
Assist in organising meetings, taking minutes, and performing general administrative tasks
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clerical and administrative support to the General Imaging department at St. Bartholomew's Hospital.
Key functions include:
Undertaking secretarial functions as part of secretarial team and in line with access targets.
Typing of clinical letters and clinical reports
Booking appointments
Ensuring quality of admin services provided to patients and staff
Resolving problems, escalating where necessary
Taking part in suitable cross cover arrangements
Supporting the Management team / Clinical lead with some Department meetings.
