Advanced Clinical Practitioner -Sarcoma

Job summary

The post holder will be required to deliver an advanced level of clinical practice within the Sarcoma service. Working within local and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines, the ACP exercises independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of patients which will include referring patients to an appropriate specialist.

The post holder will act as a clinical leader within the Sarcoma service, supporting the provision of clinical expertise that is evidence based. They will play an active part in audit, research and the development of local multidisciplinary guidelines and protocols, incorporating current best evidence in consultation with other healthcare professionals for the Department. The post holder will promote the concept of clinical governance and facilitate the implementation of the Trust's Clinical Strategy in relation to their post and work within agreed Trust/Unit protocols and guidelines.
