We are recruiting for a Senior Clinical Fellow to work in ICM and ACCESS.

You will spend 6 months working as a Senior Clinical Fellow at Newham Hospital, where you will be a core member of the critical care team, responsible for providing skilled care to critically unwell patients across the hospital. Following this you will spend 6 months working with London's Adult Critical Care Emergency Support Service, ACCESS, which provides for the transfer and retrieval of critical care patients across London.

The critical care unit has a team of 9 consultants, 14 residents, CCOT, and a large MDT delivering high quality clinical care to critically ill patients. The unit runs 12 beds providing a mix of L2 and L3 care.

The unit works collaboratively with the other departments in the hospital and with other hospitals in the critical care network to ensure that all patients receive excellent expert care.

ACCESS is the London Adult Critical Care Emergency Support Service which is committed to ensuring the secure, reliable, compassionate, and proficient transfer of critically ill

patients throughout the capital, 365 days a year.

Main duties of the job

Provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill patients at Newham University Hospital.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.

Ensure the highest standards of communication with patients, their families and the MDT, including maintaining an accurate written record.

Participate in teaching and training activities for medical students, junior medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes.

Participate in the on-call rota for the Intensive Care Unit
