Job summary

The registered nurses/staff nurses here on Maple ward part of Barts health orthopaedic centre. Play a key role in the patient's pree-and post-operative experience. Delivering a high standard of care with an equal standard of customer service.

We expect harm registered nurses to be able to manage group of patients pre-and post operatively after undergoing orthopaedic surgery. We practice enhance recovery therefore, you will play a key position in encouraging and promoting a quick recovery after surgery.

All of our registered nurses not only can manage their own group of patients. Our expected to be able to take on the role of the nurse in charge this will mean leading a shift delegate inappropriately problem-solving. Dealing with complaints. Annd deputising for the ward manager in their absence

Our shift patterns are 7 AM to 7:30 PM long days and nights are 7 PM to 7:30 AM. We do expect our staff to do a mixture of days and nights including weekends.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of a registered nurse here on Maple ward. It would be managing a group of patients with minimal supervision is boast pre-and post operatively.

You would expect to to maintain and demonstrate a high level of care whilst delivering a high standard of customer service. Be able to build therapeutic relationships quickly witth patients. And develop strong relationships within the MDT.

Be able to assess patients quickly at the point of admission and throughout their journey and Taylor care as required. To be able to discharge a ppatient safely and effectively.

To be able to escalate and take appropriate action to minimise patients deteriorating and seek advice and specialist care in a timely manner.

Work as a team and be able to delegate appropriately.
