The Cardiology Department at St Bartholomew's Hospital is looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic nurse to support our team in providing excellent care.
You must be proactive and cooperative in the appraisal and confirmer processes,.
Education, training and development are an important philosophy of the units and access is provided to courses both in-house and at partner universities. 3D is lucky enough to have their own dedicated teaching Sister who supports all staff in their development and works closely with new starters.

Main duties of the job
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Involvement in direct patient care.
- Recognition and escalation of deteriorating patients.
- Recording, assessing and planning holistic care through our systems.
- Admission, discharge and treatment of cardiology patients.
- To work collaboratively with the MDT, site managers and other stakeholders to improve patient care and experience.
- To communicate effectively with patient/clients, and their significant others, taking into account their cultural background and cognitive functioning.
- To communicate clearly with all members of the multidisciplinary team, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural and language differences.
- To participate in service quality improvement initiatives.
- To act as one of the leads for improving patient experience through link nurse role, study days and trainings.
- To undertake quality improvement training and participate in relevant forums.
Take a lead in the promotion of the health and well-being of clients/ patients and their significant others, ensuring that health promotion is incorporated in the planning and delivery of care.
In order to maintain effective registration with the NMC you must adhere to the Council's requirements for Revalidation.
