Trust Doctor (Eqv. FY1) in Older Peoples Services

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic junior clinical fellow with demonstrable interest in geriatrics to join the Older People Services (OPS) department at the Royal London hospital at FY1 level. The successful applicant will work predominantly within ward-based teams and under the supervision of OPS consultants. There will also be an opportunity to work across our other areas, such as Frailty and Trauma Peri operative older people services (TPOPS).

Main duties of the job

This is 4-month opportunity to gain experience throughout Older People Services department in general geriatrics, outpatient work and acute frailty and TPOPS if desired. Responsibilities would include general ward work as well as participating in the local education programme and teaching medical students.It would be recommended to participate/lead on a quality improvement project to or to contribute to the development of a clinical guideline.The post includes weekend working covering OPS wards on a rota working pattern with no overnight cover.
