Job summary
The Head of Nuclear Medicine and Imaging role works closely with the Senior Leadership Team, to support leadership for the CSD Diagnostics Directorate. The role will be pivotal in fostering a cohesive multidisciplinary team and a culture of learning and innovation, underpinned by the Trust's WeCare Values.
This role will support a multi-disciplinary specialty team of staff in strategically delivering the priorities, goals and objectives agreed with the Clinical Lead and the Barts Clinical Support Service Director across the following domains:

The postholder will be accountable for the operational management of the department, overall performance of the team and services in delivering national and local health care priorities, ensuring safe, efficient and quality services, and improving patient experience.

- Education to Masters level or equivalent qualification and or experience.
- Postgraduate management diploma or equivalent or In-depth knowledge in a number of management disciplines acquired through training and experience to degree level or equivalent.
- Evidence of further professional academic studies, preferably in healthcare leadership, management, business strategy or project management
- Registration with a relevant clinical professional body (or suitable eligibility for registration)

- Worked clinically or as a manager at a senior level
- Experience of leadership and management
- Proven experience of managing a significant service budget.
- Up-to-date knowledge of NHS system reform policy and other key policy drivers.
