Rotational Occupational Therapist (B5-6 Development) Annex 21

Job summary

An exciting and innovative opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Newham Hospital therapy team has come up under the Annex 21 Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. The role is offered as a 12-month accelerated training and education opportunity to become a band 6. With successful completion of the competency framework resulting in a permanent position within the band 6 rotation program at Newham Hospital. Areas include Accident and Emergency, Acute Assessment Unit, Cardiac, Respiratory, Amputee/Surgical, Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU), and Health Care of the Elderly.

You will be provided with regular supervision, focused CPD activities and a clear pathway for completion of your training to enable you to undertake all duties asindicated within this Band 6 OT job description.

As per Annexe 21, during the 12 months of training, your starting salary represents 75% of the maximum of band 6. You will remain on 75% pay of the maximum of band 6 until successful completion of your competencies when you will be moved to 100% of the minimum band 6 pay.
