Job summary

The Clinical Services Division Directorate at St Bartholomew's Hospital is looking to recruit a talented Technologist/Radiographer to join the leadership team Operational Lead Technologist for Nuclear Medicine and PET CT at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

We have dynamic clinical teams and are looking for a visible and motivating leader. This Position will be based at St. Bartholomew's Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London- St. Paul's with cross site working.

The post holder will be credible and a visible role model. The post holder will be responsible for the safe and effective management of the day-to-day provision, operational coordination of Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT services

The post holder will provide high profile Clinical Specialist support to all Nuclear Medicine imaging, technologist staff and to the department.

They will bring dedication and energy to improving patient experience, staff satisfaction, clinical pathways and performance standards, through effective communication with patients, staff and stakeholders.

As a member of the Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT Management Team the post holder will contribute to the strategic direction of the Department, ensuring an effective and responsive Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the safe and effective management of the day to day provision, operational coordination of the Nuclear Medicine services, including PET-CT and governance compliance, whilst working pro-actively with the Team to ensure safe and effective implementation of service developments relevant to the team.

The post holder will provide high profile Clinical Specialist support to the all Nuclear Medicine imaging, technologist staff and to the department.

The post holder will liaise with departmental site lead technologists with respect to staffing levels and other resource issues and, is responsible for management of all technologist staff and site leads. In addition, the post holder will be required to work closely with the site lead technologists and senior management to develop the service in line with commissioner requirements and Trust objectives, consulting all key stakeholders, positively reinforcing the expectations of the organisation through collaborative and dynamic management
