This role is pivotal to future development and transformation of the support and training development we provide to our PTs at WXH. You will lead in providing & developing training programmes & competencies for PTs, supporting them in joint clinical sessions, career conversations and skills development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across the acute Physiotherapy (PT) teams in WCH to support the continuous professional development, education and progression of PT staff. They will identify learning needs, plan and implement any training required and continuously evaluate staff competence ensuring that development is aligned to and informs local and national priorities.
The practice development PT will to drive developments in PT practice to improve safe patient care, support education, training and development strategies through the delivery of relevant programmes across the hospital, support induction, preceptorship and guidance for individuals who require performance related assistance.
They will also to be responsible for supporting changes in practice based on evidence, research, audit findings and best practice, which improve and impact positively on patient outcomes and key performance indicators
