Job summary
The new Barts Heart Centre has brought together the services of some of the best cardiovascular experts in the Country who will work together to create a single specialist centre for Cardiovascular Disease to cover all our local communities.
You will be joining us a an incredibly exciting time, as we realise a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve services for todays patients and future generations and create a work class cardiovascular and ECMO service. We are also setting up a new Thoracic Robotics and Thoraco-Abdominal Aneurysm repair service.
The development of a new centre has created vacancies for Band 5 Anaesthetic Practitioners with NMC and Anaesthetic training or HCPC registration. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to work within a service covering seven cardiothoracic theatres, ten cardiac cath labs supporting electrophysiology and intervention cardiology and the nationally recognised Heart Attack Centre which service North and East London.
Main duties of the job
Be a proficient anaesthetic practitioner in Cardiothoracic Theatres, the post holder acts as a professional role model and clinical teacher. He/she also provides effective mentorship and supervision, participating in the education and training of nursing and non-nursing staff.
To ensure safe, efficient timely individualised care is delivered in line with local and national targets
