Trust Doctor (ST3+) in Cardiology Specialising Cardiomyopathy
This post provides out-of-programme training in inherited cardiac conditions (ICC) for a candidate with suitable experience in clinical Cardiology. We expect post holders to undertake the same educational obligations as their colleagues.There will be opportunity to work in clinic, inpatients, imaging, exercise physiology, genetics as well as research and teaching.

Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Successful completion of MRCP or equivalent
- Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment

- Post graduate medical research degree

- Working in MDTs
- Previous experience of working as ST1/2 or equivalent
- Previous cardiology experience
Desirable
- Managing young patients with heart disease
- Genetic counselling
- Managing cases and families with inherited cardiomyopathy
- Advanced cardiac imaging
- Interpretation of genetic test results

- Good knowledge of the spectrum of cardiological disease
- Managing inpatients with acute cardiac disease
