Job summary
Although this position is a 9 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 9 months.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our well established and highly respected team.
As a Therapy Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the team of qualified occupational therapists and physiotherapists. This will include carrying out activities of daily living, exercise programmes and issuing relevant equipment, ensuring the highest standard of patient care. You will be able to refer to the qualified therapists for guidance and supervision where necessary.
You will have the chance to work in the following acute ward areas: -
- Older People's Services/Care of the Elderly
- Musculoskeletal Outpatients
- Cognitive Geriatric Assessments

Main duties of the job
- To assist the therapy team in providing a high standard of service to patients referred from a variety of settings, mainly patient's home. Including supporting the multi-professional team in the assessment and implementation of treatment programmes and care plans for patients.
- The post holder will work with patients from areas including but not limited to Older people services, inpatient wards, ED/SDEC, front door frailty and patient's own home environment.
