We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician to join the team and develop skills within clinical research.We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person who has proven organisational andcommunication skills and exceptional attention to detail. You will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of trials being run at Barts Health, and ensure they are being managed according to the regulatory requirements for research.This is a permanent position, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital, however, post holders may be expected to travel across all Barts Health sites on occasion.The role is full time, Monday-Friday (with additional weekend and bank holiday commitments). Main duties of the job

The principal objective of this role is to ensure the timely set up, effective maintenance and delivery of all clinical trials on site. The post holder will be expected to:o Manage the efficient and smooth running of processes associated with clinical trials at the dedicated siteo Support the pharmacy clinical trials team to ensure all documentation including standard operating procedures are relevant, in date and according to GCP/GMP requirementso Develop and maintain systems consistent with GCP and local requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Principles and practice for pharmacy technicians or equivalent.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification

Desirable

  • Specialist technical / Management modules or equivalent experience in Aseptic preparation
  • Practice Supervisor, Train the trainer or equivalent qualification
  • ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience of good performance in previous posts.
  • Previous significant experience of working in clinical trials

Desirable

  • Previous experience of managing staff
  • Previous experience of working in Aseptics
