Job summary
The Clinical Haematology Service at the Royal London Hospital is looking for enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 Service Delivery Manager to support the day to day operational management of our Clinical Haematology services and its admin team.The successful applicant will need to supervise the day-to-day workload of the units, and be proactive in the management and co-ordination of service issues. They need to be an effective team worker with excellent communication and time management skills of self and other's workloads' with the ability to organize and motivate the team to deliver the service to tight deadlines.They will also be responsible for the management of a number of key areas pertinent to Clinical Haematology reporting. They will also need to have excellent IT skills and staff management skills to manage the day-to-day enquiries received regarding patient bookings.They will provide support with staff training and information requirements in relation to national audits, Trust KPIs and staff wellbeing aspects across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The Service Delivery Manager is responsible to the Service Manager for the overall performance of those services within the remit of the role. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day Delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality Standards, controls and resource constraints.
To manage the Key performance targets in your area, and demonstrate continuous improvement in patient experience with particular reference to a balanced demand and capacity plan.
To support the clinical teams develop service in accordance to their clinical strategy. This willinclude Clinical Directors, Consultants, Matrons and Head of Nursing.
To ensure that there are clear and transparent measure of success (KPI's) for your services and these are delivered at the required level.
You will support the CAG's implementation of service improvement as appropriate and general development of services. You will play a key part in supporting change in supporting clinical teams plan and review care pathways.
You will look after and nurture the staff that you manage to help them to develop their knowledge and skills and perform to a pre-determined level.
