Senior Patient Pathway Coordinator

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Patient Care Coordinator to join the ENT and H&N team at the Royal London Hospital. We are looking for a well-organised team player who can work well under pressure, whilst adhering to procedures and deadlines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. The successful applicant will require excellent communication skills and possess a positive, can-do attitude. Previous experience of RTT and CWT is essential along with advanced IT skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for providing administrative support to designated clinicians and patient cohorts. This will include the proactive management of individual patient pathways to ensure that patients are diagnosed and treated in line with clinical need and national and local waiting time and access targets.

  • Degree or equivalent or equivalent training and experience of administrative procedures
  • Knowledge and experience of office management, system and practice.
  • Knowledge of the RTT policy.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles with regards to patient data.
  • To have a sound understanding of NHS wide initiatives and experience of responding positively to ensure local implementation.

Desirable

  • 18-week knowledge.
  • Previous RTT/Validation knowledge
