Matron for Paediatric Critical Care

The closing date is 24 June 2025

Job summary

The Royal London Children's services serves a growing population of babies, children and young people living in East London, which means we're the largest provider of children's services in London. Last year, our paediatric emergency services treated over 9,500 children - providing care for conditions ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses.

The Royal London Hospital is a leading, internationally-renowned teaching hospital with one of the largest children's hospitals, with one of the busiest Paediatric Critical Care Unit which serves the population of London and surrounding areas. The unit admits trauma and some of the sickest medical/surgical patients around this area and utilises The Royal London surgical teams to treat these patients. The hospital also has one of the busiest paediatric Accident and Emergency services in London.

We are one of the capital's leading major trauma centres, and benefit from London's Air Ambulance, which is based at The Royal London Hospital, and provides pre-hospital trauma care at the scene of serious incidents within the M25. We also host the Neonatal Transport Services for Pan London.

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Children's Paediatric Critical Care Matron to provide their expertise to the existing established Paediatric Critical Care team.
