Job summary

We have 1 posts, for 6 months of ICM and ACCESS, commencing in August 2025.

You will spend 6 months working as a Senior Clinical Fellow at Newham University Hospital, where you will be a core member of the critical care team, responsible for providing skilled care to critically unwell patients across the hospital, and you will spend 6 months working with London's Adult Critical Care Emergency Support Service, ACCESS, which provides for the transfer and retrieval of critical care patients across London.

The critical care unit has a team of 9 consultants, 14 residents, CCOT, and a large MDT delivering high quality clinical care to critically ill patients. The unit has 14 beds (12 funded) providing a mix of L2 and L3 care. A programme of investment over the last few years has brought about huge change, with expansion of beds, staff and equipment providing state of the art facilities and equipment.

Main duties of the job

The Adult Critical Care Emergency Support Service (ACCESS) Fellowship integrates 0.75 clinical operational delivery, and 0.25 personal and professional developments, ensuring a balanced and enriching experience for candidates seeking to advance their career in the field of transfer medicine.

ACCESS is the London regional adult critical care transfer service committed to

ensuring the secure, reliable, compassionate, and proficient transfer of critically ill

patients throughout the capital.

You MUST have GMC registration and meet the minimum requirements of Primary FRCA or equivalent and completion of Stage 1 training in ICM or anaesthetics
