Job summary

We are looking to recruit x4 schedulers for a busy Admissions department at Whipps Cross Hospital. This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 09:00 AM to 17:00 PM. The successful candidate must be able to work within a team and be able to use their own initiative and prioritize workload. The ability to forge close working relationships with Hospital administration staff, Clinical staff and other colleagues is essential to the post.This is a fast-paced department requiring a proactive candidate to join the team. The job will entail face to face contact with patients, clinicians, pre-assessment nursing staff and ward clerks and therefore requires the ability to multitask and have excellent communication skills both written and oral.The successful candidate will be responsible for booking pre-assessment and surgery appointments and undertaking validation work so RTT knowledge and good CRS knowledge is essential.

Main duties of the job

To ensure provision of comprehensive and efficient booking and scheduling services for patients, that adhere to the Trusts Access policy with national and local access targets.The role requires the post holder to develop efficient and effective systems of work to ensure that patients experience good communication, choice, and a personal and responsive service.To provide a consistent approach across the trust, standard operating procedures (SOP) will describe how the functions of this role will be carried out along with the timescales that will be adhered to.
