Job summary
We are looking to recruit an outstanding and highly committed full-time permanentRadiology Schedulerto join our Admin & Clerical team of staff. The candidate must be able to work across the different sites, within a busy and buoyant team and able to use their own initiative. This is a fast-paced department requiring a proactive individual. The job will entail predominantly booking appointments for all modalities patients and resolving face to face or telephone patient queries. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will also need to be flexible, have an appreciation of the confidential nature of the work and be able to manage a workload to meet pre-determined targets.
Computer literacy would be essential as you will be expected to input and extract information from the Patient Administrative System, Radiology Information System and other computing systems.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for providing an effective booking service for patients requiring radiology examinations. You will rotate providing cover for a range of imaging modalities.
The post holder will be expected to provide a service to all Trust-wide clinics within their given team and modality. The post holder will need a working knowledge of all clinic protocols in addition to any specific standards for each clinic/specialty. The role will range from the registration of new patient in all directorates, handling GP and patient queries for all clinics to making appointments.
