Job summary

The purpose of this post is to work with the Inherited Cardiac Conditions Coordinator on the Sudden Cardiac Death Pathway. This pathway supports families who have suddenly lost a loved-one from an inherited heart condition. We want to support those families by talking to them about their need for clinical screening and arranging a genetic test on the person who died (if tissue was saved during the post mortem).

The post holder will coordinate arranging clinic appointments on CRS, chasing previous test results performed at other hospitals, liaising with the coronial teams, arranging meetings with key stakeholders, taking minutes during minutes, arrange courier for tissue transport. Actively chasing results in order to reduce treatment length of time. Also to participate in providing an effective administration/typing service to the multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this post is to actively manage the administrative processes of patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their treatment by the Trust. Ensuring that all pathways are front validated at all stages of the pathway. Actively chasing results to reduce treatment length of time.

Also to participate in providing an effective administration/typing service to the multidisciplinary team.
