An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a HCC Surveillance Data Manager Band 5 in the Hepatology team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This position is based within the Specialist Medicine Division.The successful candidate will require excellent communication and organisation skills and possess a positive attitude. Previous experience in a similar NHS data management role would be advantageous, plus a high level of IT ability and excellent analytical skills will also be required.This is a fixed-term contract to that ends in December 2025, but we will be happy to provide it as a secondment opportunity as well. You will be responsible for the provision of effective data management support to the HCC Surveillance call/recall system setup project, as well as providing excellent administrative support to the Specialist Medicine Division.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will coordinate the data for the North East London HCC Surveillance call/recall system setup project and ensure the accurate and complete capture of detailed data from the pilot project. It includes meeting Key Performance Indicators while communicating complex information and handling administrative matters effectively, requiring well-developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.This role demands experience in managing and manipulating data within various formats such as databases, CSV files, Excel, Power BI, and utilising the Somerset Remote Monitoring System to track patients. Working independently is essential, including taking the initiative and effectively organising and prioritising the workload to meet changing and often tight deadlines. The candidate must also demonstrate strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and the capability to manage their workload efficiently, particularly under deadline pressure.
