Main duties of the job
The Lead Nurse for Clinical Workforce and Safer Staffing will:
Lead workforce development and deployment to ensure safe, effective staffing with the right skills mix across the hospital. Key responsibilities include:
o Developing and implementing workforce plans and retention strategieso Managing enhanced care policies and procedureso Analysing workforce data and creating improvement planso Overseeing staff deployment and new workforce modelso Maintaining professional standards and complianceo Leading recruitment initiatives
The role requires senior nursing expertise and collaboration with colleagues across Barts Health and the People directorate on workforce policies and developments.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing, the post holder will support strategic workforce planning and provide assurance on nursing, midwifery and AHP priorities using digital platforms including SafeCare Live, Health Roster, and Datix.
