This new post presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with extensive nursing experience & leadership skills who is highly motivated, energetic and driven.The post holder will work with the Divisional Triumvirate team and Director of Nursing. You will professionally & clinically support the leadership of the nursing workforce for allocated service areas.
You will be responsible for the provision of safe, quality & effective services, as well as day to day operational management of the ACCU, CCOT & associated areas (ICNARC and PDN team). You will ensure the services provide the highest standards of professional practice, budgetary & performance management, & service improvement at all times; driving quality in our services to ensure outstanding patient care is at the heart of all we do.
We are seeking to recruit a leader with the ability to provide strategic vision, clinical expertise & direct & influence change & to develop & support the operational and strategic portfolio. You will possess a record of success in clinical practice, change management, service improvement & reduction of harm. You will continue to develop the workforce in order to meet the changing service demands & will undertake clinical shifts within the CCOT team.

The post holder will provide forward thinking clinical & professional leadership to nursing staff at all levels within their service group, ensuring that nursing care is delivered to a high standard &that the nursing resource is managed effectively. She/he contributes to the ongoing implementation of the nursing and midwifery strategy, ensuring achievements of all its objectives and proactively modernising nursing roles in accordance with the needs of the patients. They will also undertake key functions of the Modern Matron role ensuring the patient experience in wards/departments is of the highest possible standard at all times with particular emphasis on dignity and compassion. The post holder will work in partnership with the Service Clinical Director & Service General Manager in developing the services strategic direction & policy framework.
