An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our Therapies team within Barts Health NHS Trust. You'll need to be able to motivate and support patients to complete their rehabilitation with a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including persistent pain, osteoarthritis, inflammatory joint pain, back pain, and post-surgery. It will be an advantage to have had experience working in a community rehabilitation role and a background in health and fitness. You will also be expected to signpost patients to local services to optimize their physical and mental health.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist therapists in the rehabilitation of patients by carrying out treatment plans developed by therapists and by progressing those treatment plans within agreed framework
  • To autonomously identify need for re-evaluation, progression and termination of interventions
  • Support the team to use effective equipment and stock management systems including storage of equipment and ordering of equipment in keeping with service requirement
