Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our busy and dynamic pharmacy team at the Newham University Hospital. You will support the clinical and operational pharmacy team to effectively deliver quality care to patients at ward level and from dispensary and pharmacy stores through efficient medicines optimisation and supply. There will be opportunities to support with training and development of trainee pharmacists, rotational pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacy technicians and assistants.
Main duties of the job
Undertake projects - support the Site Lead Pharmacy Technician and Lead Pharmacy Technicians in developing systems for service provision, which enhance the efficiency of the service
Be responsible for providing a Medicines Management service to ward areas, which involves working unsupervised in clinical areas
Day to day line management of pharmacy support workers undertaking QCF / NVQ level 2 and 3 and ACPT
Undertake duties and responsibilities as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT)
Participate in the recruitment and selection of Pharmacy staff
