Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to join our friendly, pharmacy operational team.
We require an experienced individual with drive, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to work under pressure. You should be a team player, able to perform effectively within the pharmacy and wider healthcare settings.
In this role you will be involved in supporting the dispensary team with accurate processing and dispensing of medication requests, contributing to the provision of bulk medication supplies to wards and departments and ensuring the smooth running of the pharmacy dispensary service. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will be involved in promoting and reflecting the WECARE trust values with colleagues within the department and across the trust.
We would expect applicants to be highly motivated and responsible individuals with a passion for customer service and team work.

For this role you are required to have completed an NVQ QCF Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and experience in a pharmacy setting.

Main duties of the job
This post provides the post holder with the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience in day-to-day delivery of pharmacy service to patients, in conjunction with the patient services and clinical pharmacy teams.
The post holder will be responsible for dispensing inpatient and discharge medicines, stock management and some clinical pharmacy services.
