We are recruiting for a dynamic Senior Commercial Contract Manager - Clinical, Band 8B.
We are excited to be setting up a best-in-class commercial contract management 'Centre of Excellence' for the Barts Health NHSTrust for management of approximately £200m pa of long term gold, silver, and bronze tier contracts.
The 'Centre of Excellence' has the full support of the executive board and key stakeholders with the Head of Commercial Contract Management leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer. Our mission is to now move beyond concept stage to implementation, covering a vast range of clinical and corporate departments ranging from Pathology, Pharmacy, Clinical Support to Informatics and Corporate.
Main duties of the job
Clinical CCM key duties
Lead the clinical departments (Clinical, Clinical Services, Pathology, Pharmacy, Diagnostics, and Clinical Support) for the Commercial Contract Management function at Barts Health NHS Trust.
Support Trust stakeholders and Head of Commercial Contract Management and act as the day-to-day face of the governance system for the departments in the go-to-market strategy.
Provide expert commercial contract management of up to £100m+ of Gold, Silver and selected Bronze clinical contracts.
Provide guidance and support on the drafting of legal documents and implementation of contract changes eg. Contract Change Notices.
Lead complex Contract and Contractor's negotiations and support the Head of CCM by providing high quality negotiation advice to senior stakeholders and clinicians.
Work in a multi-disciplinary team that includes clinicians and close liaison with providers and other associates. As such the role requires excellent inter-personal skills.
Play a key supporting role with the further embedding of the Trust's Social Value Framework, the Green Plan and Sustainability policies to deliver better outcomes for patient and local communities, including SME's.
