PEOPLE MANAGER, ESTATES AND FACILITIES - BAND 7 (Secondment / Fixed term)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and professional People Managerto join the Group Support Services People team at Barts Health on a secondment/fixed term basis until March 2026.

Reporting to the Head of People GSS, you will work closely with the Estates and Facilities leadership team to influence and implement strategic People priorities and provide expert, professional advice to a range of internal stakeholders on all HR and People matters, including complex employee relations cases and organisational change.

A self-starter, you should be MCIPD qualified, with a track record of delivering high qualityspecialist HR advice to services and managers in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Using your highly developed influencing and coaching skills, you will develop leaders'understanding of their key business priorities and delivery plans in relation to developingtheir teams and supporting performance and behaviours that are aligned to Barts Health Values.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

o Utilisation of workforce metrics to identify HR strategic support required within the area and use this to influence service priorities and work collaboratively with managers to ensure that the necessary interventions occuro Developing the people management capacity of operational managers through the provision of coaching and deliver people related training and facilitationo Management and provision a full employee relation service to Site Directors, Case Managers, Case Investigators and Managers for staff in line with nationally agreed guidance/procedures and our local Trust policieso Advising on all people aspects of change management within the site ensuring that proposals are well thought through and comply with agreed policies and procedureso Working with managers and other key contacts to ensure the successful implementation People projects across Estates and Facilities as required

  • Demonstrable generalist HR experience demonstrating competence across the range of HR functions
  • Demonstrable track record of providing specialist HR advice to services and managers in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Experience in the public sector or in a large complex organisation with union recognition
  • Experience of working with business performance metrics/data to guide and direct strategy
  • Management of staff.
