Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work with the multi-disciplinary team on the Stroke Unit (Peace Ward). If you possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, good communication skills, have the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team of staff and have a specialist interest in developing the service we provide then please apply.
We are 19 bedded ward caring for patients with acute stroke. Our aim is to care for each patient's individual needs with privacy, dignity and respect in an open and honest way. We acknowledge that every patient must be treated, as an individual with differing needs physical, psychological, spiritual, social and cultural.
To provide effective family centred nursing care to patients and their families. Ensure that evidence based practice is performed at all times, taking responsibility for updating own knowledge and skill in line with Trust policies and procedures and NMC Code.
For newly qualified nurses, it will be an important step in consolidating practice and completing all relevant clinical competencies, receiving adequate support form colleagues.
