Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and dedicated midwives to join our vibrant Maternity team at Newham University Hospital. We are on an improvement journey and need midwives who want to have a say and be part of our transformation.
We are offering and incentives of £1000 to Band 6 Experienced Midwives that will join our Maternity Team- £500 incentive to be issued at the end of successful completion of probation period and £500 to be issued after one year with the Trust.
We will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gaining valuable experience within all areas of the maternity service. We pride ourselves in having one of the highest rates of births outside obstetric led units in East London (25%) and have met our targets of Continuity of Carer.
These Band 6 posts are suitable for Registered Midwives with more than 12 months of post-qualification experience.
We have a number of vacancies throughout different clinical settings, therefore you will be offered a choice of initial placement area. The staffing needs in each clinical area will be considered when determining the timing and frequency of rotation.
Main duties of the job
- To provide comprehensive midwifery care in the maternity unit and primary health care setting within the model of care practiced in the maternity services.
- To provide the highest standard of individualized and holistic patient care, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
