Whipps Cross Hospital is seeking to appoint Band 2 Operating Department Health Care Assistant to work within our busy operating theatres. The role will involve working in the 3 theatres areas of the hospital. This is a support post within the Department, working under supervision of qualified staff. The post holder is part of the clinical team, participating in the delivery of clinical care to patients and supporting others using the service. The role is Monday to Sunday, hours include 8-6, 8-8 and night shift.

Main duties of the job

This is a support post within the Department, working under supervision of qualifiedstaff. The post holder is part of the clinical team, participating in the delivery ofclinical care to patients and supporting others using the service.Some of the duties will change as the post holder gains further skills and knowledge.The post holder must therefore be flexible and willing to undertake vocational, work based qualifications that will be funded by the Trust in conjunction with the Trust learning Ladder.
