An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Division of Surgery & Cancer in the recruitment of a highly motivated and dynamic band 7 Trauma & Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate must be an innovative, hardworking and an enthusiastic adult nurse with a broad range of skills and experiences. You must possess and be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills. We are seeking to appoint a compassionate and caring nurse who will be able to work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding care for the patients in East London & beyond.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Work as an independent practitioner supporting with management of patients with Orthopaedic needs whilst requiring inpatient care. Facilitate and support the effective and efficient management of the trauma caseload ensuring operative and other interventions are undertaken in a safe and timely manner. Act as a clinical expert and professional resource of the multidisciplinary team with the Trust. Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will lead on service development projects within the service and lead on staff development and internal/external teaching programmes. The post holder is in a leadership role within the directorate responsible for the development of innovative nursing practice within the speciality of trauma orthopaedics.
