Job summary
A rare and exciting leadership development opportunity has arisen for a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly, pharmacy operational team for a period of 9 to 12 months.
We require an experienced individual with drive, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to work under pressure and to lead a team through pharmacy processes and changes. You should be a team player, able to perform effectively within the pharmacy and wider healthcare settings and have some leadership/management experience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a team of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants and trainee pharmacy assistants. They will deliver patient-focused, quality care, based at one of the four main hospital sites.
An integrated service delivery model is in place which is a move away from a traditional split between dispensary and medicines management services; staff work across both areas as a multi-skilled team in all aspects of pharmacy service delivery. This enables pharmacy to put patients' needs at the centre of our services.
