We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian with energy and drive, to join our team.
We are part of the largest NHS acute trust in England, including the second largest tertiary children's hospital in London. We provide several tertiary paediatric services including Surgery, Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology, Allergy, Neonatology, Neurology, Diabetes and PCCU. We have a diverse cultural and ethnic population and cover some of the most affluent as well as socially deprived areas of the country.
This role will be part of our expanded and innovative tertiary Paediatric Allergy service at the Royal London Hospital. You will work as an integral member of the Paediatric Dietetic team (31 Dietitians who work across 3 acute sites and in the community). The workload consists of specialist outpatient clinics. You will work alongside 2 other Specialist Paediatric Allergy Dietitians, 4 Consultants and 4 CNS`S. You will have the opportunity to build your experience within Allergy and be involved in audit and research. 7.5 hours/week will also be dedicated to the School Meals Service.
You will ideally have at least three years of clinical dietetic experience, and one year in paediatrics. Allergy experience is essential. You must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
We have a well-established programme of quality improvement and research, and fully encourage CPD.
Main duties of the job
To be a highly specialist dietitian for dietetic interventions within the Paediatric Allergy Team.
Working within the multidisciplinary team to provide an effective dietetic service to complex patients and their families.
Working 7.5 hours/week for the school meals service
To support other team members to provide a highly specialized dietetic service.
- The post holder would undertake research and audit on a regular basis to ensure that practice is evidence based.
